Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest

On April 27, at approximately 3:00 A.M. on GA 401/I-75 near Mile Marker 100, a Crisp County Deputy conducted a traffic stop. Upon approaching the vehicle, the deputy detected a strong odor of Marijuana. The driver was identified as Jaylen Moore, and the passenger was identified as Jeremiah Moore.
A search of the vehicle revealed multiple bags of marijuana, a digital scale, items used for packaging marijuana, and a firearm. Also in the car were multiple blank check sheets and printed blank checks with various victims' names, bank account numbers, and routing numbers, a printer, and a financial transaction card not belonging to the passenger or the driver.
Jaylen Moore and Jeremiah Moore were arrested and transported to the Crisp County Detention Center.
Jaylen Moore, a 25-year-old male from Albany, GA, is charged with:
- Possession of Marijuana
- Failure to Maintain Lane
- Failure to Signal Lane Change or Turn
- Reckless Driving
- Obscured or Missing License Plate
- Holding a Wireless Device for Voice Communication
- Possession and Use of Drug-Related Objects
- Possession of Firearm During Crime
- Forgery in Fourth Degree
- Financial Identity Fraud
Jeremiah Moore, a 23-year-old male from Albany, GA, is charged with:
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession and Use of Drug-Related Objects
- Forgery in Fourth Degree
- Financial Identity Fraud
