Crisp County E-911/Communications Center is responsible for answering both emergency and non-emergency calls for service. The center dispatches Police, Fire-Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, and Sheriff’s Office. Our dispatch center is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
The mission of Crisp County E-911 is to lessen the time required for people within Crisp County to request and receive emergency assistance and to deliver the most efficient and effective Public Safety Services to save lives, protect property, and quickly apprehend criminals; while at all times, being courteous and cautious for the safety of our callers and responding public safety officers.
Communication Officers with Crisp County E-911 complete 6 months of training with the E-911 Center and as mandated by the State of Georgia, attend a week long Certification Course taught at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center. Each Communications Officer is certified by the State of Georgia. They are trained to communicate with impaired callers using TDD/TTY technology and people with language barriers.
