25 AED’S PURCHASED WITH ASSET FORFEITURE FUNDS

CRISP COUNTY- August 19, 2019

Sheriff Billy Hancock purchased twenty-five G-5 Fully Automatic AED’s with Asset Forfeiture Funds. Twenty-two AEDs will be assigned to Patrol Deputies, and the remaining three will be assigned to the Crisp County Government Center and the Crisp County Court House. Deputies will attend mandatory training before the AED’s being issued.

“I hope that they will never be needed, but they are a great tool at our disposal as we protect and serve Crisp County. Often our deputies are first on the scene to an emergency, and these AED’s could help them save a life,” Stated Sheriff Billy Hancock.

Rob Williams, Law Enforcement Specialist with Cardiac Science, states, “I have personally heard of hundreds of stories where law enforcement has saved a life with our AEDs. It is great to see Sheriff Hancock being proactive and outfitting his deputies with our life-saving tool.”
