Arrest Made for Theft at Local Business

The Crisp County Sheriff's Office is investigating retail thefts that occurred on July 20 and 22, 2026, at two different businesses in Crisp County.

Deputies responded after a business reported that a female suspect stole two portable Bluetooth speakers with a combined value of approximately $680. When the vehicle entered Crisp County again, it was tracked to another business. A deputy initiated a traffic stop. As a result, stolen items were recovered, and the suspect was taken into custody.

During the investigation, deputies learned that a similar theft involving the same suspect and vehicle occurred at another retail location in a neighboring jurisdiction. It was also discovered that she had active warrants in other neighboring counties.

Tisha Sewell, a 47-year-old female from Sylvester, Ga has been arrested and charged with:
