ARRESTS RELATED TO WEEKEND ENTERING AUTOS IN CRISP AND SUMTER COUNTY LEADS TO OTHER ARRESTS

CRISP COUNTY- February 20, 2020

On February 19, 2020, Crisp County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Dalton Gregory, David Priest, Kelsy Denham, and Brent Aultman. Dalton Gregory, a 20-year-old male and resident of Cordele, faces charges of Entering Auto and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property. David Priest, a 20-year-old male and resident of Crisp County, faces charges of Entering Auto, two counts Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, and Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon. Kelsy Denham, a 20-year-old female resident of Ashburn, faces a Theft by Receiving Stolen Property Charge. Brent Aultman, a 47-year-old male resident of Cordele, faces charges of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana Less than an Ounce, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.

On February 19, 2020 at approximately 1:50a.m. Deputy Herrick attempted to stop a car due to a taillight being out. The driver fled on foot after leaving the car on Antioch Road. After searching the vehicle, Deputies found items that lead them to believe the driver, Dalton Gregory, was involved with an entering auto that occurred over the weekend on Scenic Route. Further investigation concluded Dalton Gregory and David Priest were responsible for the entering auto in Crisp County and four other entering auto cases in Sumter County. After additional information was gathered, Crisp County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to recover several firearms, ammunition, and other stolen items from the Crisp County entering auto and Sumter County entering auto cases. Brent Aultman and Kelsy Denham were arrested as a result.
