VEHICLE VERSUS PEDESTRIAN
CRISP COUNTY- May 6, 2019
On Monday, May 6, 2019, at approximately 7:00 a.m. a Crisp County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to GA HWY 90 for a welfare check after E-911 received calls about a pedestrian walking in traffic. Just minutes after the initial dispatch the call was upgraded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident. Crisp County EMS and Crisp County Fire Rescue were also dispatched to GA HWY 90 south of the intersection of Brock Road.
A pedestrian walking in the northbound lane was struck by a Red Toyota Tacoma also traveling northbound. The pedestrian suffered multiple traumatic injuries and succumbed to those injuries on the scene. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured. The deceased has been identified as Greg Andrews 46-year-old male of Cordele, Georgia. The accident is being investigated by Crisp County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
