Seat Belt Violation Leads to Drug Arrest

On February 10, 2025, at approximately 7:20 PM, a traffic stop was conducted by Crisp County deputies in conjunction with the Georgia State Patrol at exit 104 of GA 401. The driver claimed that she did not have her license, and neither of the two passengers could provide any identification. During the investigation, two of the three individuals gave false names, which led to the request for a canine unit. The canine unit alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle and a subsequent search revealed the following items: methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, a .380 caliber pistol, scales, needles, and other drug paraphernalia.

The following individuals were charged:

Dennis Wade Keen, a 27-year-old male from Cordele, GA, is charged with:

  • Trafficking Methamphetamine
  • Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Giving False Name

Jessica Ray Fountain, a 34-year-old female from Leesburg, GA, is charged with:

  • Trafficking Methamphetamine
  • Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Giving False Name
  • Giving False Statements
  • Failure to Maintain Lane

Robert Eugene Fountain, a 56-year-old male from Americus, GA, is charged with:

  • Trafficking Methamphetamine
  • Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
