Tattoos are acceptable provided they do not appear on the head, neck, or hands.
Tattoos of any kind, on any part of the body, that are of an offensive or vulgar nature; containing racist symbols or messages; depict violence; advocate or symbolize discrimination; or identifies gang affiliation, supremacist/extremist groups, or drug use are not allowed.
Lower Arm Tattoos: Tattoos shall not extend below the wrist onto the hand.
Tattoos on the hands and fingers are prohibited, with the exception of a single band tattoo of no more than 3/8 of an inch in width on one finger of each hand.
Prohibited tattoos include:
- Extremist
- Obscene or Indecent
- Sexist
- Racist
Prohibited Areas include:
1. Head or Neck Tattoos:
a. Tattoos on the head or neck, including in or around the mouth area, are prohibited.
b. The head is defined as the portion of the body above the first cervical vertebrae (C1)
c. The neck is defined as the portion of the body above the collarbone in the front area, above the seventh cervical vertebrae (C7) in the back area
Crisp County Sheriff's office has the following openings:
