Flock Alert Leads to Arrest and Recovery of Stolen Rental Vehicle
On January 9, 2025, at approximately 1:30 P.M., Crisp County deputies were notified of a stolen vehicle through the Flock system. A deputy located the vehicle traveling West on Hwy 280 and confirmed the license plate. Additional units were requested to respond and a traffic stop was initiated. The vehicle stopped at mile marker 1, Hwy 280 West. The two passengers in the vehicle were taken into custody without incident.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies discovered plastic containers labeled as “medical cannabis,” a Chime debit card, a New York state driver’s license that did not belong to either suspect and two Chase Bank envelopes containing a total of $10,400. The search did not yield any documentation showing that either suspect had rented the vehicle, and neither suspect possessed a medical marijuana card. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Crisp County Detention Center.
