MISSING PERSON LOCATED
CRISP COUNTY- August 14, 2018
Missing person Ashley Lane Williams has been located and transported to Crisp Regional Hospital by Crisp County EMS for treatment of minor injuries. After an extensive search this morning involving Georgia State Patrol Aviation, Wilcox Sheriff, Robert Rogers, Dooly County Sheriff’s Office, Cordele Police Department, and numerous members of Crisp County Sheriff’s Office Williams was located approximately 2 miles in the woods from the crash site around 12:10 p. m.
The search for Williams began around 7:30 a.m. after a Crisp County Sheriff’s Deputy found an abandoned wrecked vehicle at the dead end of Blackshear Road. Sheriff Billy Hancock states, “Thank you to all of the agencies that responded and assisted in the search of Ms. Williams. Through teamwork from all involved agencies and the citizens we were able to successfully locate Ms. Williams.”
