Terroristic Threat Arrest
Crisp County, GA

A local business was placed on lockdown following a disturbance involving terroristic threats. Due to the seriousness of these threats, the Crisp County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) and the Special Response Team (SRT) responded to locate the suspect.
The suspect, Demeatrice Hardeman, was found at a residence on the north side of Crisp County. After approximately two and a half hours of phone conversations and negotiations, Hardeman attempted to flee the residence in a vehicle. Just before noon today, he was apprehended during a traffic stop at the intersection of Hwy 41 and Truckers Route. A weapon was discovered in the vehicle with Hardeman.
Demeatrice Hardeman, a 40-year-old male from Cordele, GA, faces the following charges:
- Two counts of Terroristic Threats and Acts
- Robbery
- Simple Assault
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
This investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.
