Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Crisp County, GA

On February 15, 2025, at approximately 10:15 PM in the 2500 Block of HWY 280 W, a Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 with two occupants. As the deputy approached the vehicle, he detected the odor of marijuana. He asked the driver Christon Reddell about the odor and possible recent marijuana use or possession. Reddell admitted that he had smoked recently and acknowledged being in possession of marijuana.

The deputy requested backup. A trooper arrived on the scene and charged Reddell with DUI.

The passenger, Tabatha Reddell was asked to exit the vehicle so that the deputy could conduct a search.

A search of the vehicle revealed a bag containing marijuana, 400 mg THC edibles, a medicine bottle with Oxycodone that did not belong to either the driver or the passenger, a container with cocaine, a digital scale, and a loaded firearm.

Christon and Tabatha Reddell were arrested and transported to the Crisp County Detention Center.

Christon Reddell, a 54-year-old male from Sumner, Ga is charged with:

  • Felony Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Cocaine
  • Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance (Oxycodone)
  • Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Possession of THC OIL (Edibles)
  • Possession of firearm or knife during the commission of a crime
  • Driving Under the Influence

Tabatha Reddell, a 50-year-old female from Sumner, Ga is charged with:

  • Felony Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Cocaine
  • Possession of THC Oil (Edibles)
