TRAFFIC STOPS THIS WEEK

Brandon Jefferson 36-year-old male, resident of Albany, Georgia was arrested on April 24, 2018 at approximately 1:40AM. Deputy Sears initiated a traffic stop on a red Dodge Charger for a traffic violation. A check of Jefferson’s license revealed that his driver’s license was suspended.
A wrecker was called and an inventory of the vehicle was completed. During the vehicle inventory, deputies found two jars containing suspected marijuana. Jefferson is charged with Possession of Marijuana and Driving with a Suspended License.
April 25, 2018
Kenyon Eppinger, 27-year-old male resident of College Park, Georgia and Curtis Ferguson, 26-year-old male resident of Jonesboro, Georgia were arrested on April 25, 2018 at approximately 10:40AM. Deputy Harvey initiated a traffic stop on a white Mazda for speeding on GA 401/ I75 at mile marker 104.
Harvey detected an odor of suspected marijuana coming for the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of suspected marijuana and several items connected to fraudulent activity.
Consequently, Eppinger and Ferguson were transported to the Crisp County Detention Center. Eppinger is charged with possession of marijuana, financial transaction card theft, theft of lost or mislaid property, 4 counts of Forgery of a financial transaction card, 5 counts of financial identity fraud and 2 counts of falsifying an identification document. Ferguson is charged with Speeding, 2 counts of falsifying an identification document, 3 counts of financial transaction card Forgery, and 5 counts of financial identify fraud. Investigators are continuing their investigation.
