AGENCY ASSIST WITH CHASE

CRISP COUNTY- May 1, 2019

Crisp County Deputies assisted with a multi-county pursuit earlier today. The high speed chase ended with an overturned vehicle at mile marker 95 Southbound on GA 401/I75.Crisp County EMS responded to the scene and transported the subject to Crisp Regional Hospital. No officers were injured during this pursuit.

At approximately 8:10 a.m. on May 1, 2019, Crisp County 911 received information from the Dooly County Sheriff’s Office that their deputies were engaged in a pursuit and were entering Crisp County on GA 401/I75. The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office was advised that the Dooly County Sheriff’s Deputies had attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a white Nissan Rogue. The driver of the Nissan refused to stop and a traffic pursuit ensued. The Crisp County Deputies joined the chase at mile marker 104 on GA 401/I75. The pursuit ended around mile maker 95 southbound around 8:20 a.m.. A Trooper with the Georgia State Patrol performed a pit maneuver to successfully stop the vehicle . The driver now faces multiple charges from both the Dooly County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol.
