DEATH INVESTIGATION

At approximately 8:25 on 12/21/2018 deputies responded to 2475 Highway 90 South, Cordele, Ga. reference to two people who were suffering from a gunshot. Crisp County 911 dispatchers received information that two people were suffering from self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, deputies found one male deceased from an apparent gunshot wound to the head and female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The female who was walking around and talking to Deputies when they arrived was transported to Crisp Regional by EMS. Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office along with the GBI Crime Scene Unit and the Cordele/Crisp District Attorney Brad Rigby responded to the location. The female is currently in Crisp Regional Hospital. The deceased, identified as 54-year-old Arthur Tissue Jr. and the female identified as his wife Lisa Tissue both reside at the 2475 address. Authorities continue to investigate to determine what happened inside the residence. Sheriff Hancock said, ”this is a tragic incident especially given the time of year for both families and all involved.” The case remains under investigation.
