Subject Apprehended for Shooting at GA Veterans State Park

CRISP COUNTY- March 27, 2023

On Sunday, March 26, 2023, around 3:15 A.M., authorities arrested Skyler Woodham and Sabrina Bradshaw at 1973 GA-112 N, Poulan, Georgia. Skyler Woodham, an 18-year-old male from Americus, Georgia, is charged with (2) two counts of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, Aggravated Assault, and (3) three counts of Aggravated Battery. Bradshaw 18-year-old female from Leesburg, Georgia, is charged with Aiding Escape. Additional charges are pending investigation.

On March 25, 2023, a female suffering a gunshot wound arrived at Crisp Regional Hospital. It was reported to Crisp County E-911 Communications and law enforcement at Crisp Regional Hospital that the shooting occurred at GA Veterans State Park around 2:40 P.M. following a domestic incident and that the suspect fled the scene.

Crisp County Sheriff's Office, Georgia State Patrol Post 30, and Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division Region 5 (GA DNR LED) responded to Georgia Veterans State Park (2459 U.S. HWY 280 W). Authorities were able to gather information at the scene and at the hospital that identified the suspect as well as the vehicle involved.

Crisp County Sheriff's Office worked with multiple agencies, including; Georgia State Patrol Post 30, Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division Region 5 (GA DNR LED), Sumter County Sheriff's Office, Americus Police Department, Lee County Sheriff's Office, Worth County Sheriff's Office, and Sylvester Police Department in efforts to locate Skyler Woodham and Sabrina Bradshaw.

The investigation revealed that the two swapped vehicles in Worth County could be in the area. Through teamwork and dedication, authorities located the new car, Woodham and Bradshaw. Both individuals were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Crisp County Detention Center. The victim is currently being treated in an Atlanta hospital.

Secondly, I cannot say enough about the men and women of Crisp County Sheriff's Office and our state and local partners. From the time Crisp County E-911 received calls related to this incident, agency members self-deployed and did not rest until we had the subject in custody. I would like to personally thank Sumter County Sheriff Eric Bryant and Worth County Sheriff Don Whitaker, as both of these men not only took my call but also geared up and went out to gather any information that could assist us. Each agency and partner played a vital role in gathering intelligence that ultimately led us to Worth County. Thank you,
