TRAFFIC STOP NETS 5 KILOS OF COCAINE

CRISP COUNTY- September 23, 2019

Crisp County Sheriff’s Deputy Sergeant Kenny Purvis, arrested Mario Flounoy, a 38-year-old male, resident of Pavo, Georgia on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at approximately 3:00 p.m. Flounoy faces felony charge trafficking in cocaine.

Sergeant Kenny Purvis initiated a traffic stop on a black Hyundai, Sonata traveling southbound on GA401/I75 around milepost 104 for impeding the free flow of traffic. Due to the suspicious behaviors of the driver, the deputy requested to search the vehicle. Flounoy gave consent to search, and K-9 Molly alerted during the search. Sergeant Purvis discovered a large amount of suspected cocaine. Consequently, Jordan was placed under arrest and transported to the Crisp County Detention Center.
