Two Arrested After Attempting to Elude

CRISP COUNTY- July 1, 2022

On Thursday, June 30, 2022, around 8:40 A.M., authorities arrested Matthew Lowe, a 23-year-old male from Shepherdsville, Kentucky, and Jenna Scott, an 18-year-old female from Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Matthew Lowe is charged with Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Marijuana, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude, and numerous traffic violations. Lowe is also wanted on outstanding warrants from Louisville, Kentucky. Jenna Scott is charged with Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.

On Thursday, June 30, 2022, around 8:30 A.M., a Crisp County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop a grey Mercury SUV for speeding on GA 401/I75 near mile marker 96. The driver did not stop the vehicle and continued north on GA 401/I75 into Dooly County. A Georgia State Patrol Trooper performed a PIT maneuver. No injuries were reported; Lowe and Scott were taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Crisp County Detention Center. Authorities recovered a bag of suspected methamphetamine, a bag of suspected marijuana, a digital scale, packaging material, and three firearms. Dooly County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol Division assisted in the pursuit.
