Arrest Warrant Leads to Drug Arrest

Crisp County, Ga
On Thursday, August 7, 2025, at approximately 2:30 PM, Derrell Brown was spotted by a Crisp County Deputy driving South on Joe Wright Drive. Brown had an outstanding arrest warrant. The deputy initiated a traffic stop, and a probable cause search of the vehicle revealed approximately 87 grams of marijuana. Additionally, Brown faces extra charges for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute located near a public park, school, and housing projects.
Derrell Brown, a 49-year-old male from Cordele, was transported to the Crisp County Jail and is charged with:
- Felony Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
- Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute within 1000 Feet of School, Park, Housing Projects
