CCSO awarded the Georgia Gang Activity Prosecution (GAP) Grant
CRISP COUNTY- December 6, 2023
Crisp County Sheriff's Office is one of the 34 organizations awarded the GAP Grant. Crisp County Sheriff's Office was awarded $50,000 to be dedicated to successful prosecutions of gang activity. The purpose of the FY 2024 Georgia Gang Activity Prosecution Grant program is to support state and local efforts to prosecute gang-related activity.
"I am honored to announce the reception of a substantial grant allocated towards combatting gang activity in our community. This funding will bolster our law enforcement capabilities, enabling us to enhance proactive measures, deploy specialized resources, and implement strategic initiatives aimed at disrupting and prosecuting gang activities," stated Sheriff Billy Hancock
Director Chris Stallings said of the awards, "I am pleased to provide critical resources to local communities across Georgia to take on the sweeping gang epidemic facing our great state. None of this would have been possible without the leadership of Governor Kemp and our elected officials in the State House and Senate. These projects will strengthen our prosecuting attorneys and law enforcement's ability to keep all Georgians safe."
