DUI Leads to Arrest for Cocaine and Fentanyl

Crisp County, GA
On August 8, 2025, at approximately 8:30 PM, a Crisp County deputy on patrol on Drayton Lane observed a Ford Explorer that failed to maintain its lane. The deputy initiated a traffic stop, and upon making contact with the driver, Toriano Waters, he detected a strong odor of alcohol. After failing a field sobriety test and testing positive for alcohol, Waters was placed under arrest and subsequently searched.
The search revealed multiple bags of blue powder that tested positive for cocaine, a bag of crystal substance that tested positive for fentanyl, and a bag of multi-colored pills suspected to be MDMA (Ecstasy).
Toriano Waters, a 49-year-old male from Cordele, was transported to the Crisp County Jail and is charged with the following:
- Trafficking in Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance
- DUI (Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol)
- Failure to Maintain Lane
