Crisp County Sheriff’s Office Unveils New Firing Range at Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

CRISP COUNTY, GA (July 19, 2024): The opening of this firing range marks a significant step in our commitment to public safety and professional development. This state-of-the-art facility, equipped with the latest technology and training tools, ensures our officers receive the highest level of training. Inveris Training Solutions designed the Range Master 9000 Target System specifically for our needs, allowing complete control over stationary, moving, and 360-degree turning targets. The CCSO range now features a twenty target system with two banks of ten targets. They can be operated together or as one separate bank depending on the number of shooters. This advanced system will enhance the readiness and effectiveness of our force, making our community safer.

While this range will primarily train our officers, we are excited to reintroduce our Firearms Familiarization Classes to the public throughout the year. This achievement wouldn't have been possible without the support of our state government, local government, and community partners.

“Thank you to our Crisp County Board of Commissions, state government, community partners, vendors, and individuals who contributed to the CCSO Firing Range Project. Your belief in this project and your contributions have been invaluable. Thank you for helping us build a stronger and safer community,” Sheriff Billy Hancock
