One key component that kept citizens of Crisp County safe was dissemination of weather alerts and updates. There are many contributing platforms that helped Crisp County Sheriff’s Office inform citizens of emergency details and precautions. News Media, Social Media, CodeRED, and Weather Sirens were all vehicles that transported vital information to the citizens of Crisp County. CodeRED specifically allowed us to deliver messages/ phone calls, directly to citizens in the affected areas. CodeRED is another tool citizens can use when being proactive and preparing for any weather episode.
